Stomach Issues, continued...
I had posted about my son's stomach issues and you suggested the problem could be H.Pylori and to either get tested or try matic gum:

A few things have transpired since then.
1. I tried the mastic gum and it caused itchy throat and other allergy symptoms within minutes.
2. I recalled after the post that a chiropractor thought he has a hiatal hernia.
3. I have an appointment with a gastro doc who will do a scope to check for the hiatal hernia and the H. Pylori...but can't get in for 6 weeks.
4. My primary said if it is a hiatal hernia he needs acid blockers long term to protect his esophogus.
My concern for this moment is how to keep this kid from feeling sick every time he eats. We have it down to a dull roar by severely restricting his diet, occasional acid blockers, temporarily taking away his allergy drops in case they lend to the problem (still not convinced of this), and teaching him stress management. I worry about esophogial damage because this problem has been on and off for 5 years and the doctor said he could have had a silent reflux even when he was asympomatic and we thought he was ok.
Is there anything safe to do for the 6 weeks while we await testing to ease without knowing what the problem is?
If this is H. Plyori, are there any other options than mastic gum? I really worry tree products might bother him in general, though I couldn't say for sure. They'll want to give him
Antibiotics .
If this is a hiatal hernia, is the chiropractor our best option? My doctor laughed that a chiropractor could even feel this and then talked about acid blockers. Are there any other ways to help someone with hiatal hernia and so many sensitivities?
I still plan on working on his adrenals, but until his stomach will accept more, I am cautious about doing anything.
Thank you for any light you can shed.
