Re: anti-depressants and fasting

the detoxinator,

A friend of mine who was on antidepressants for 20 years, drugs given to her by her own father, doctor who wanted best for his daughter, but did not know better. She finally heard about fasting and Liver Flush from my sister. She was tired of taking drugs that made her sicker. She believed my sister and her advice to heal with nature made foods and doing some cleansing programs. First thing she did was a Liver Flush and instantly felt like she was in a new world. She stopped taking drugs cold turkey, she had bad headaches. Finally she weaned off the meds slowly. Last thing she did was a fast of only fifteen days and she is a new person, drug free. She is on plant based diet, but occasionally eats processed foods.

I am sorry to write the whole story, but she suffered when she gave up drugs cold turkey. I believe if you want to fast to heal, you will have to endure the pain of giving up the drug. I think taking drugs while fasting may not give you the best result. I can only say, fast away. However, you need to listen to your body and be ready to endure the pain if any. One other co-worker of mine had very minor withdrawal symptoms. We are all different and react to things differently.

Good luck. Keep posting here to share your experience.
