I believe the best D3 supplement to be in the emulsifying liquid form as I personally find this to be the most beneficial in terms of noticeable benefits: this can be said for any liquid nutrition which is more easily absorbed by the body.
Fruit for example is mostly water, and considered to be a pre-digested food.
Sunbathing does not always optimize D3 levels and the reason why I supplement with D3 from Life-Extension.
Your muscle pain with joint pain in your left hip where the leg meets the torso could well be due to inactivity/atrophy of those muscles but also a result of possible toxemia in that location.
I would begin a gentle exercise program such as "rebounding": the most beneficial exercise, because of the opposing acceleration/deceleration forces of gravity; you do not have to be attempting an Olympic trial, just a gentle bounce of 10 to 20 mins' duration once per day, and as your pain allows.
This could be followed after a period of time by a complete water-only-fast for up to 15/20 days: this will hugely accelerate the detox of your body, and the most likely cause of the muscle/joint pain. It will also relieve the body-pain you are experiencing as well.
After this the glucosamine/chondroitin and MSM, plus other supps' such as D3 should really make a difference. I would also adhere to a plant-based way of eating, and eat only according to appetite.
Nature needs time to accomplish its goal of self-healing.
