Re: Sunshine Vitamin Has D-lightful Health Benefits
Hi Chris:
I must say, you are always so, so informed - no matter what the subject is, nor what forum it is on, when you post, it is unbelievably full of knowledge which takes time to digest.
You posts are a pleasure to read, and learn from!
Question - I am deficient in D - I live in Florida so have been making an attempt to get at least 4 straight hours a week in the sun (mainly the pool with min. hour to hour and a half a session)... I have turned some brown.
However, Chris, I have the most horrible muscle pains you can imagine coupled with joint pain. But recently I have this muscle pain in my left hip where the leg meets the torso? It feels as if someone is "ripping" my muscle and tearing it. It is without doubt one of the most excruciating pains I have ever felt.
So, because I am starting finally, a protocol of all the stuff I need to take every day for all my ailments, I wanted to ask you which D3 do you consider a really good supplement - capsule, liquid, powder and what company. I have these drops which I started taking but psychologically they don't make me feel as if I am taking anything. Is that stupid or what!
Along with glucosamine/chondroitin and MSM and other supps the D3 should really make a difference don't you think? For instance I have been at my computer for about a hour or more - when I get up now to go inside, I will have to brace myself on the desk and slowly stand because of the unbelievable pain in my joints and muscles.
I know my muscles have atrophied because I have been very sedentary for quite some time due to a car accident and anemia which I am dealing with.
Also, I am about to start working out at the gym again. I have done it for many years but, not for at least the last 6 or more.
You advice and recommendations are so much appreciated. So sorry for the Odyssey above - thanks. AK
