Hi guys, it's been long time since I posted anything on here... Wondering if someone could help me out here?

It's been a long time since I've posted on here, mostly because I was trying to put some distance between me and my illness. Unfortunately it still keeps coming back to remind me each and every day that's it's here to stay. To make a long story short, I came back from a 2 month trip from Peru about 5 months ago. After 3 days or so I became violently sick and I have not yet recovered. I'm wondering if I could enlist some help from our resident parasite experts here?

I had several stool tests done here at the local labs but they came out negative. I've had a total of 3 Metametrix tests done, the first picked up some yeast and an unknown parasite. By the time I did the second test, the yeast problem had been resolved but I still had an unknown parasite. The third test picked up the unknown parasite yet again and hookworms. I've had a heavy metal toxicology test done at Doctors Data which came out for the most part clean, slightly elevated Arsenic levels. I tested positive for Lyme via a Western Blot at Igenix in May. Finally, I got some help from one of the members on here "shroom" who identified B. Hominis in both my blood and stool. Big thank you btw...

I started a herbal parasite cleans in April but was to weak at the time to finish it. Since then I've done 2 days of Albendazole, 2 weeks of Flagyl and i'm currently in the middle of a Humaworm herbal parasite cleans with Vermox. I have also been on Doxycycline and a Herbal Lyme treatment since mid May with about a month in-between when I was off everything temporarily. Diet wise I started to watch what I eat in April (emphasizing meat and protein) and for the last two weeks I've been on the very strict GAPS diet.

Symptom wise I have improved a bit, but I am still very far from normal. Before the "crash" in April I never really got sick. I was never the healthiest person in the world but things like headaches, foggy brain, weakness, fatigue and restlessness were unknown to me. I was always calm and relaxed generally a pretty happy individual. When I first crashed in April (after drinking a cappuccino from Starbucks no less) I initially thought it would be a one or two day affair. Boy was I wrong, that first month was hell on earth for me. I ended up in the emergency room at the hospital 3 times, I really thought I was having a psychotic breakdown. My body was so weak I was re-sensitized to action or violence on TV, I could not relax or calm down or do much of anything. It was a nightmare to live... Since then I've been getting a bit stronger, or at least better able to handle these symptoms and sometimes I can almost get back to normal for a few minutes anyway. The one symptoms that does not go away is this "crashing" sensation. What I mean by "crashing" is that you suddenly feel very very weak, it does not last very long (at least not anymore) but you feel like garbage for a few days after. Headaches, fatigue, dizziness, pain and a whole host of other weird symptoms. I can't quite time these crashes but they seem to occur once a week and seem to be more intense after eating carbs (pasta or bread) or starches. I think this is my number one symptom because I believe it weakens my body enough to allow any other opportunistic pathogens to take hold.

My thoughts on all this seem to point to B. Hominis (like shroom said). I don't think it's a yeast issue since I've consistently tested negative lately and I've been eating effectively an anti candida diet for the past 5 months with no improvements. I doubt its Lyme because Lyme is not sudden like that, rather it's a slow degeneration in the body over months or years (I tested negative for confections, which can be more sudden). And even if some of the symptoms are caused by Lyme, the major one "the crashes" have not decreased in intensity since April despite 4 months of treatment. I'm not sure if it's parasite related since I've done several anti parasite drugs and herbs and never really herxs off them, and again the crashes are still there. This leaves B. Hominis (or some other bacterial infection) as the most likely cause in my opinion, especially since it apparently can react to carbs, starches and sugars in ones diet. I've done my research and I plan on doing the triple drug treatment from Badbugs.org, but before I do that I want to get some confirmation tests done at other labs.

What do you guys think of my analysis here? Am I on the right track? What labs would you guys recommend for microscopic stool and blood testing for B. Hominis or other bacteria? Is there anything here I might be missing?
