Re: Is extreme weakness a sign of detoxing?

i reckon its normal kandice especially after day 4. i can remember feeling totally washed out til the 7th day on one fast then returned to normal energy levels (if not better) for the next 7 days. on another fast energy stayed even (just lower) all the way through.

one's normal blood Sugar levels prior to the fast can have something to do with how you feel in the beginning. whenever i fasted after a low blood Sugar diet the conversion to ketosis was not as dramatic, the system was already used to low glucose. not recommending it of cause, just my thing.

iron stores may take a while to transfer, pH changes can cause major fatigue (google 'pH neurotransmitters') causing slight paranoia, sleeplessness, even nightmares in the first few days (goes quick thank goodness). hormones, busy immune system handling unexpected bacterial and pathogen die off, lurking infections etc., all play a part in fasting fatigue. its an extremely active time for the body adjusting to all the changes/opportunities fasting brings. huge.

congrats! rest. take a glorious sun bath when poss. enjoy knowing you are doing the utmost to get well.
