Re: My "own" versions of GCG and Chinese Bitters arrived today...
Ok, I've just search "GCG tea" on both here and google.
Although I've read a lot on Sensible Health before, the search on google found this (from Sensible Health):
"It involves drinking a tea made from 3 different herbs: Gold Coin Grass (GCG), corn silk and Eucommia. These herbs are mixed together and boiled in water for about 20 minutes. About 4 cups are needed daily, taken before meals or bedtime on empty stomach."
I did a CureZone search but could only find this, and don't really think the instructions make sense:
"In the next store there was an old Chinese lady and she told me through an interpreter that I should devide a one-pound bag of the herb, along with some stems, into eight equal parts and boil one part in 6 cups of water to bring it down to 2 cups and drink 1 cup per day for 16 days."
The good news is throughout my searching it seems that GCG (or Jin Qian Cao) tea is still very much effective and produces great flushes according to the many ho have tried. Maybe not as potent as a tincture but still good enough.
So, I will follow SensibleHealth directions of boiling the GCG (Jin Qian Cao) and Bupleurum (Chai Hu - which is also in the SensibleHealth GCG formula) for 20 minutes. I've researched that recommended GCG dosage is 16-60g and Bupleurum is 3-12g, so I'll go somewhere in those numbers. I also recieved the Chanca Piedra liquid non-alcohol extract today so I will add 2 dropperfuls of this into the tea as well as i have seen some GCG forumlas with added Chanca Piedra (stonebreaker) in it. And I will also make a tea for the Chinese Bitters :-)
Things all of a sudden look a whole lot better!
