She totally needs to get some raw honey and apply it to the wound. Raw honey has been found to clear up MRSA infections in many people and one I know personally. Manuka honey is best if you can find it. If not, just make sure what you do use is raw and not processed. We keep it on hand all the time. It helped me personally fight a terribly nasty infected cat bite. After applying the honey to my infected finger, the throbbing pain completely disappeared withing 1 hour of application. I was also taking garlic and oregano oil, but the pain didn't stop until I used the honey (you can search my old posts and read my story).
