Re: Any luck with armour thyroid?
Hi Ruth!
Yes I'm finally having luck! After being on glandular thyroid supplements for 2 years, I'm finally losing some weight.
I switch herbologist, but the last 2 appointments showed nothing wrong with my thyroid. We went away to Cuba for a holiday and I had lost weight by the time I got back (even though I didn't worry about food and drank like a fish). So it seems to coincide with my thyroid.
But I also learned that my body was very acidic. My herbologist said that no matter what I did, I would not lose weight til I got my body functioning at a #6 ph level.
And it's true, no matter what I did, I could not lose 2
lbs. He gave me some info and I read a book called the pH Miracle. Even though it is too fanatical (my herbologist also agrees) I've adopted some of the things that I felt I could live with the rest of my life.
As of this morning I've lost 16
lbs. I couldn't lose that kind of weight if my life depended on it. This is since the end of April and I did hit a plateau in there for a bit.
When I finish this bottle of thyroid supplement, I am going to stop before my next appointment and see if my thyroid can maintain a good level without the supplements.
Good luck to you and if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to help if I can. I understand better than anybody how frustrating it is to be overweight, get there somehow without good explanation, and be unable to get rid of it.
