Re: Ken Presner is DISCREDITED
Ken Presner sent me an Ultimate Zapper unit that did not look like his new model. The unit was dissimilar on 4 exterior points of appearance from the web photo on his "zap.intergate.ca" site.
Ken Presner insists to the end that I got a "new" model as advertised. I even sent him the picture of what I received early in the "fight" he fuelled at every stage. After much verbiage (see his tedious history of posts here to ascertain how the habit of arguing does rather dilute any useful or helpful information from him...)I simply could not concede I got what was shown in the web advertisement. At every stage I gave him opportunity to resolve commensurate with the level to which he had taken it.
The unit I received looked very much like an old model but Ken Presner vehemently denied the idea. There appear to be no model or serial numbers on his products. He limited his attention to the label discrepancy but refused to address other points of difference. Amongst other accusations he said I was just trying to get a free zapper. Hey, I'd already bought one and simply wanted what I bought!
If it's not the old model and it's not the new model, just WHAT DID I GET? How can I be sure the interior parts will be functional and more important, would not be dangerous to operate? If he had simply had any respect at all for customers he'd have initially and early on made his life a lot easier with a simple exchange. That idea only surfaced AFTER he castigated me and accused me of things having nothing to do with the fact I did not receive what I ordered. At the end he admitted to an "honest mistake" [edited for a typo] by the shipper, reversing an earlier denial, and "offered" a paper label replacement (to make one of the multiple differences look like the web photo? -- pretty lame and insulting cheap shot!).
He also wanted me to "please" send the unit back for refund, but at that late stage, without some authentic effort at normal customer satisfaction and after his extreme loss of self-control, this was not acceptable. I lose the use of my purchase, but Ken Presner lost his credibility. Shame on him for all his lecturing about honesty, and posturing about deceptive advertising (which I only discovered after his accusation I had some agenda out to get him sent me into web research).
I think I'm pretty normal in that I happen to put more value in credibility than in a few dollars on a useless device: as we are most of us here trying to learn more and cope with health issues and concerns. Sharing credible information is so important in health and self-health matters -- as is forthright debate and respectful discussion that has a chance to be informative and productive.
To sell a product that does not look like the advertised photo is MISLEADING advertisement. To insist it is what it clearly is not is, I believe, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I'm not an expert on trade, commerce, or consumer protection laws. I am confident in saying, in my experience, that Ken Presner has destroyed his CREDIBILITY. Whatever he says to backtrack, squirm, whine, utter, proselytize, or add in his own defense is, after the fact, without credulity. From this time on, as far as I am concerned, his word is false and/or misleading.
See "complaintsboard.com" for additional information. I can't help Ken but hopefully I can be of some small service to folks who value and assess credibility when in their "curezone" on their paths to wellness.
