Re: my 2nd day of 10day water fast :)

Natural Hygiene Master Shelton originally did enemas, but eventually stopped because he found them detrimental. Your bowels will stop moving, but that's not necessarily problematic. Your waste won't get hard resulting in a large 'stone' you have to try and pass once you start eating again. Some people though do have some discomfort. Personally, I say that if you are uncomfortable - do an enema. There is no reason in my mind to make what is sometimes a difficult situation, more difficult. There are lots of "how-tos" just google it.

Weight loss can vary. I never lost 2 lb a day, and most days it's about 1/2 lb. In the beginning, most of it is water. But after you switch to burning ketones, you should be losing body fat (and still some water). How you break your fast is important. Eating too much or the wrong foods can make you sick, or regain the weight quickly or both. Another phenomenon I've noticed is that since the digestion shuts down during a fast, you may not be able to handle certain foods as well afterwards. It may take longer to digest everything. Of course, YMMV. Just keep in mind that fruits, veggies, fresh pressed juices, will be easier for your body to handle than meat, dairy, breads, sweets, etc.

I've not heard/read the statement about a 10 day faster being the equivalent of a 30 day juice fast. Where did you get this info? Maybe there's more to be researched here.
