no yeast but high alpha hemolytic strep count

I've had a stool test done by Doctor's Data which yielded a high (4+) alpha hemolytic strep count, but normal yeast numbers. My doctor seems to think it isn't a big deal, but I'm wondering if the strep is part of my total health problem. Anyone out there have any info on this bacteria & it's impact on the digestive tract....everything I come up w/is about "strep throat". It just seems to me that if strep throat is a big deal why wouldn't strep in the intestines be a big deal too? Any feedback would be welcomed!
