I'm new to fasting and I have to agree with your statement. I scared myself for a few days, overeating on paster, steak etc.
I find that if you feed your body good nutrition, you'll be less likely to binge.
The opposite is also true. If you eat empty calories, your more likely to eat food in quantity and have that "panic" you mentioned, like your body is on a rampage trying to feed.
Make yourself have that organic veggie juice and salad, you'll binge less. I'm still learning as i go, but this is what i've discerned so far.
