Re: Genuine thirst?

I really believe there is some truth to the information. I have heard Dr. Colbert say that if you drink soda to quench your thirst, you will need more fluids to make up for it as it will increase dehydration (not exact words but same thought). For example, sometimes when I am thirsty I drink and drink water and sometimes it takes a lot of it before my thirst is satisfied. Sometimes I will give in and drink a soda. The soda stops my feeling thirsty immediately. This causes me to believe what they say about the body having a rationing mechanism that controls our thirst feelings. The soda seems to turn that mechanism on in me. I don't feel thirsty anymore and yet, if Dr. Colbert is right I am in reality more thirsty. I bought the books they sell on the site a few months back but I still have not had time to read them. There are some amazing testimonies on the site.

Some do claim that they do not need that much water because their diet includes a lot of high water content foods. I don't think the site addresses this, but it does make sense and if it is working let it work. We are all different and have to find what works for us as individuals.
