they didn't have the money to take it to court. They shut down the business, and they didn't work for a year.
It actually happened to a woman, she and her husband have a greek deli , which they opened after they closed their restaurant. They fight about it every day, they are still blaming each other because they lost so much because of the arrest.
(They don't serve liquor of any kind anymore)
