Re: candida diet
Our stories sound similar. No one can tell you what to do or what not to do. You just have to listen to your body. Also, keep education yourself. The thing that inspires me is that I KNOW it's possible to get rid of. I've read the success stories of many people. They all tried different methods and got the same results (candida-free). I think I was more depressed when I thought that there was nothing I could do because the prescriptions didn't work. Now that I know about the abundance of methods and information, I just have to keep fighting.
The piece of advice I can give is pay close attention to your body and what it reacts to. Even when taking antifungals, I was eating cereal for breakfast. I would fall asleep within an hour. I thought it was because I wasn't getting enough sleep at night (I wake up alot), but my yawns would come soon after eating cereal.
For your diet, try the MOVES Diet. MOVES=Meats, Oils, Veggies, Eggs, and Specialty items (butter, lemon, coffee, tea). It's the easiest way for me to remember what to eat. It isn't much different from other low-carb or no-carb diets, but it helps when going grocery shopping.
