Naah, it won't "let them contain all the oil". He's dreaming if he believes that. In fact, if he does believe that, then I'm *really* worried about his logical thinking ability. If he doesn't believe that, then he's lying.

If the cap holds, it will only pressurize the rest of the fissures that are now leaking through the Gulf floor from that reservoir. Then they'll have the same amount of crude boiling out into the Gulf through those fissures with no device in place to slow it down in any way.

The difference and the good thing about capping the main plume off is that, if the cap does hold, then they won't know where to put the d@mn corexit poison, so they'll have to stop it, and that by itself is *great* news to me.
