I find that brushing my teeth and using mouth wash first helps with the SWF. The minty freshness seems to overpower the salty taste. I do the modified SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) where you put the 2 tsp in 1 cup of water, down that, and then chase it with the remaining water. That way you have less salty water to get down and you chase it with water to rinse your mouth out.
