The SWF is not unique to the MC but it is an very old Ayurvedic protocol. It needs to be done on an empty stomach 1st thing in the morning. Doing it in the evening you are washing out the days nutrition and components of the MC that work in your system while your sleep.
The way the SWF works is that the ratio that it is mixed 2 TEAspoons per 32 oz is the same specific gravity as blood thus is not absorbed or eliminated through the kidneys but through the GI tract. 2 TABLEspoons is 3 times the formula thus it's waaay too much salt and bad for anyone on a fast or otherwise. Mixed at the proper ratio it is the same salinity as the saline solutions used in hospitals.
While the SWF is the most effective way to cleanse the GI tract it is not mandatory and doing it at any other time than 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach you are diminishing the effectiveness of the MC even it you had the proper ratio. Add 3 times the amount of salt you are not only diminishing the effectiveness of the cleanse but you are actually causing harm cause your system is absorbing all that salt. This can actually be very dangerous for anyone with high blood pressure.
The SWF works in about 2 hrs max +/- If you are taking this recipe with the 2 TABLEspoons and then able to sleep more than 2hrs before having to get up to eliminate it's exremely likely that you are absorbing the salt. When working properly when the SWF kicks in there ain't no holding it back. Don't even think the word fart or you'll poop your pants ;+D.
In short if you can't do the SWF 1st thing in the morning then just don't do it at all and just do the lax tea in the morning and DEFINITELY do not use 2 TABLEspoons ANYTIME for the SWF.
For those of you having dificulties with the SWF the type of salt you use makes a world of difference taste wise. Through the years I've spent around this forum mine and most folks fave has been the light grey Celtic Sea salt which is just evaporated sea water. It is way mellower than any of the white processed salts.Temperature is also a big factor. I've always done it just slightly warm from my very 1st MC some 9 years ago. The other days I had just mixed mySWF when I got a phone call that kept me on the phone for quite a while. When I returned to my SWF it had gotten cold but I just decided to do it without reheating and not having had a point of comparison all these years the cold SWF tasted waaay more salty than my customary tepid drink.
