i just read the book Stop the Thyroid madness by Janie A. Bowthorpe and the author discusses that remaining on starting dose of thyroid too long can be a mistake. She suggests that the dose you start at should be increased in one to two weeks by a half a grain. "Patients continue with 1/2 grain raises every two weeks, slowing down as they approach three grains to give the T4 in the thyroid a full four to six weeks to fully build. If you do not do it this way, your body thinks your thyroid has suddenly produced more hormones. And via the TSH from your pituary gland, your thyroid is told to decrease its already-lowered production. So you become even more hypothyroid before." Perhaps taking the isocort with the improper dosing of thyroid caused these symptoms? I suggest reading Stop the Thyroid by Janie Bowthorpe since she discusses adrenals and thyroid dosing and how they can help and hurt each other. She also discusses isocort in more detail.
