Spud et al., you give "people" too much credit. Most, not all, couldn't care less as long as they have their habits satisfied. Give them their teet to suckle and the sucklers dismiss conspiracies as an inconvenience, rather than anything worthwhile. It is not brainwashing taking place, but strategic programming of the majority.
I do like the adage of adapt or die. There is often much resistance to adaptation, it takes too much effort. Although more people are waking, they are finding that in order to move from the waking phase to the action phase, it requires a new adaptation by learning new traits. The phase change is the difficult part as it is quite easy to avoid going to the action phase without some sort of catalyst.
