See, it HAPPENS to ALSO do that - barely... But there are biological agents out there which do nothing *but* eat/poison/infect yeasts.
The only reason anyone originally thought about probiotics was that they are native to the human body. But what about using FOREIGN biological agents?
As long as it is something that feasts on/infects/poisons exclusively yeasts and doesn't have any overly toxic metabolites, it should be reasonably safe. And there's a whole world of things that prey on fungi out there...
...IT'S BASICALLY THE MICROSCOPIC EQUIVALENT OF THE IDEA OF GETTING A CAT WHEN YOU'RE SICK AND TIRED OF MICE RUNNING AMOK IN YOUR HOUSE.
Now all we need to do is find that "cat" - the virus/killer yeast/microbe that can be properly "domesticated" w/o harming its new home (your body).
