Re: "right"
Imagine if the people who got out of Nazi Germany in time would have fallen for cries of "scare mongering" and "spreading fear" when they were becoming aware of the obvious situation or listening to others who were."
Many did not leave due to lack of awareness and complacency. When patterns are obvious, it is wise to pay attention to them and not sweep them under any carpet or attempt to ridicule the messengers by using belittling labels such as goofy
Conspiracy theorists. (a little history check will soon see where that term came from and what use it serves. ;-)
One can sense all kinds of things in others but often they too are limiting filters and can often be signs within our own psyches. ;-) It is much better to remain at the level of the information which keeps the flow going.
By shifting focus from the message to the messenger it begins to go beyond the message into the land of distraction. Also subtle positioning of information sharers into a negative light is also a way to distract people away from the message itself. Observing messages that mostly just mock messengers (subtle and not so subtle)turns the "need to be right" filter right back to sender for personal examination.
I have noticed that it is always easier to try and shut down info sharing by making things personal rather than actually discussing any information being presented.
For many, mocking has become the new sharing. This is more of a sign for others looking on to pay attention to.
Many ways to spin.
Shutting down dissent has many faces. Somehow freedom and lack of open examination don't really go together.
