...methinks there may be a
"rude" awakening for many.

I feel like I already had
my own rude awakening since
I have family and friends
who live right on the Gulf.

I live in Texas so may also
face choices I am not going
to like making. Even with
awareness, the decisions
most of us must make will
still have repercussions for
our country I doubt even
those who may have enabled
this process to fall into
place did not anticipate.

Of course, there is no
anticipating their response
but if their treatment of
media coverage and their
track record in the Katrina
disaster would suggest anything,
it would be that there is not
going to be a measured response.
It may be brutal and violent.
Many may end up singing kumbayah
behind fences...

...or worse...
