Very happy to hear you are doing well in spite of having had tongue cancer.
In my opinion - for whatever its worth - your doctor seems to be giving you the right advice and I would stay with his advice. The Essiac tea sounds very good as well.
A friend of mine with cancer, had neither the operation nor the radiography/chemotherapy and is alive and doing very well 10 years later. She changed her diet radically and only eats raw fruit and vegetables.
