I agree with your doctor that removal of lymph nodes is usually unnecceray and unhealthy as well. They are there for a purpose and serve as important toxin filters for the body. I also believe that radiation is yet another unneccsary and barbaric mainsteam treatment that does not appear to offer any benefits, and possibly significant detriments, at this stage.
Essiac is a wonderful overall cleanser and detoxer that has had quite a bit of success in the past against cancer. However, I agree with Cancertutor that essaic would be a good item to include as in a cancer fighting or preventing protocol, but should not be the only, or even the central, item one should use.
I suggest taking oleander supplements, working your way up to a therapeutic dose for a couple of months or so and then backing off to a smaller maintenance dose. People who have had cancer and beaten it, as well as those who have never had it, virtually never see cancer return or appear who take oleander as a preventive and combine it with a healthy diet and lifestyle and key nutritional and supplemental items to boost your natural immune system and ward off cancer.
You might also consider swishing a bit of baking soda and water and a bit of colloidal silver in your mouth a couple of times a day (and swallow the colloidal silver after swishing). And do the same with the essiac tea before you swallow.
Just be aware that, while surgery, radiation and/or chemo, may eliminate the tumors and cancerous cells that are the symptoms of cancer, they do not address the root causes that enabled cancer to be introduced, defeat the natural immune system and gain a foothold to begin with. In other words, don't believe that your surgery has given you the green light to go back to the same environment, diet and lifestyle you had when cancer appeared to begin with.
All the best,
DQ
