Re: Rotating antifungals the worst thing you can do.

Yeah, it never made sense to me.

I don't know why you guys don't believe that undecenoic acid works. Do you know the mechanism of how it is anti-fungal? It's really not an antifungal like oregano oil, and all sorts of other herbs tried to 'kill' candida.

Candida needs fatty acids to continue life and build its fungal membrane. With doses of Undecenoic Acid used daily it allows candida to build with this fatty acid.

Essentially you have the same problem the Titanic had.. cheap structure. The Fungal candida walls will have flaws and fail, thus reverting back to the yeast form (which your immune system can take care of). (btw, for those interested the Titanic sank because of poor quality steel and iron).
I digress...

"Fatty acids have been used for centuries to help maintain a healthy balance of the microorganisms that normally live in the gastrointestinal tract.* In the last 50 years, fatty acids have demonstrated effectiveness in supporting a healthy gut flora in a number of studies.*

Undecylenic acid (10-undecanoic acid) is an eleven-carbon, mono-unsaturated fatty acid occurring naturally in the body's perspiration. While several fatty acids have beneficial effects on the flora that naturally inhabit the gastrointestinal tract, undecylenic acid is the most potent."*

"The specific action of 10-undecenoic acid is to revert the fungal candida back to its normal yeast form with a weakened cell wall membrane. Undecenoic acid has been used successfully to treat fungal candida conditions caused by the use of Antibiotics since the late 1940s. Oregano oil inhibits candida albicans, but does not cause the conversion response and the 10-undecenoic acid works systemically."**

I would say, If the doctor's/scientist's knew about the disadvantages of using antibiotic's in the 40's, and discovered this fatty acid to fix resulting problem, why not try for 2 month's on a sensible diet?
