Agreed - 3-4 decades are not really required to many of us but for the medical profession to get on board it is! except for a handful of enlightened doctors - none of whom I have ever met.
They generally all require empirical evidence sadly.
Alternative practitioners however are more open to the dangers of Hg toxicity but I am unsure of their credentials in treating this condition.
Those like A. Cutler and Boyde Haley and Hal Huggins present convincing arguments and for severe Hg toxicity I have found following A Cutlers method most effective but have used and combined information from many of the forums to try to improve my health
The trouble with many of the issues that face the Hg toxic individual is that there can be a myriad of simultaneous underlying causes according to conventional wisdom, such as over processed western diet, alcohol, tobacco, Genetically-Modified foods allopathic medicine, emf's, chemical exposure, vaccines - this list goes on.
I dont need convincing that Hg toxicity is an underlying root cause of impaired organ function as I am experiencing it - that being said forums like trappers and Hv's and the Water Fasting forum have proved helpful in a great many aspects and help to deal with many of the symptoms by improving the way we deal with impairment.

Those who do experience HG toxicity are at an immediate disadvantage as it is not recognised by conventional medicine and it is an uphill struggle - as you say who believes it? The last thing we need is ridicule or misplaced scrutiny over a condition that can be completely debilitating. Tweet
