Epstein barr is an old theory on CFS, there are many different pathogens that can cause these problems. Judging on the statement that you have difficult in swallowing this is indicative of adrenal problems (you are not manufacturing enough cortisol). Adrenal problems result from stressors and probably in your case from immune system activation. I would not suspect viral problems but rather either a bacteria or parasite issue. Generally the gut is the problem (at least a very good bet) read Dr. Leo Galland's materials on the net and if you want the best test do the Metametrix GI Effects Stool test, don't waste your $ on the other labs.
