Bile...

Okay, I have a weird question. Hopefully someone on here can help me out. Ever since I was a kid, I occasionally get these little white/light yellow colored "things" that I kind of cough up from the back of my throat. It's not phlegm. Usually when it happens, I can feel that there's something way back in my throat, so I kind of bring it up to the front of my mouth. When it happens, there's usually only one & sometimes 2 of these little asymmetrical pieces of gunk. They're hard, but I can mash them with my fingers & they really smell awful!!! I used to get them every once in a while as a kid, & then I went a long time without getting them, but in the past year it's happened a couple times. I feel like I can usually tell when it's going to happen because I'll notice that I can sort of taste that "smell" in my breath way back in my throat for several days or even weeks before it happens. Kind of strange sounding I guess. Lately I've been eating VERY badly, so I'm pretty sure it might have something to do with my diet, but I don't know if this is a liver/bile thing, or something else. It almost seems like tartar or plaque, built up into a little wad & then slightly firmed up. Sorry if this is gross. Has anyone else ever experienced this? It's a little unnerving. I bet I need a liver cleanse. I'll probably do one, but I still want to know if anyone knows what these are. Thanks for your help.
