Re: Can I do the liver flush without taking the epsom salts and no fast?

There are dozens of variations from the "standard" Clark's Liver Flush.
Every step of the flush has a purpose to it and when followed exactly will most likely result in a positive flush.
That doesn't mean that by doing some variations will jeopardize the whole flush, although it can give you different results.
Epsom Salts role in the flush is to relax muscle and bile ducts allowing stones move more freely out of liver and gallbladder. It also aids bowel movement, reducing the chances of accumulating stones in the colon.
Some people opt to decrease the amount of Epsom Salts or even eliminating completely as Epsom Salts can be very bitter and are often viewed as harsh on kidneys and cause electrolyte imbalance. Some also opt to use magnesium citrate instead for taste.
If you opt to eliminate this step be aware that chances of a stone getting stuck are higher.
Fasting for about 8 hours is recommended prior to taking the OO/grapefruit concoction because it allows bile to buildup in the gallbladder for a stronger expulsion and also because you want to make sure your stomach is empty (you can feel very nauseous otherwise).
There are people that do daytime flushes with good results; if you opt to do this, you would want to make sure you relax in bed for a few hours to let the flush take its course.

Good Luck
Mike
