Re: Chemical Assault, fragrances in group settings
Thanks making time to offer such a constructive reply!
You're perceptive. In addition to physical symptoms - this fragrance is an emotional trigger of some nasty memories -
It sure doesn't help to smell it while I attend AA meetings of all things...and then to have traces of it in my apartment for days after.
This dear lady is in a leadership role - so perhaps I would do well to share this with her in private.
What if I say something along these lines:
I really appreciate your warm welcome and dedication to running these meetings. Also, I look forward to seeing you here at each of these meetings. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people with a lot of allergies - one being your perfume.
What do you think? I'd best learn how to deal with this NOW because the issue crops up almost everywhere I go.
It's kinda weird - I'm just gonna have to get used to saying can't hug you if you're wearing scented product - the allergies will do me in for the day - no jivin'
Then if it rubs off my clothes and absorbs into my cat's fur - meeeeeooooooowwwwwwwww!!!!!!!
LOL - thanks for hearing out my RANT!
