People talk about "scattering", but how can anyone really know if that is happenings? It is totally subjective, seems to me.

If you take DE on an empty stomach, maybe with some juice, maybe some will scatter, but lots will die. When I took DE that way for the first time, using cayenne pepper which always shows if they are "in there" - all the "white rice" from Tapeworms segments disappeared from my bowel movements.

After a couple of months of this, I stopped the DE for 2 weeks. Still saw no "white rice", tho I do maintainence. Where would they have scattered to? If so, wouldn't they come back?

Some say DE's silica gets into the blood stream & kills the bugs there, too. I don't know.

I just know DE worked for me with no side effects except stronger nails and more taut skin. (Yeah!)
