I would hesitate to blame constipation, bloating and gas on either form of oleander. Both Rose Laurel OPC Plus and Sutherlandia OPC are made by the same process at the same phamaceutical manufacturing facility in South Africa. The only difference has been that SOPC contains 20% Sutherlandia frutescens and has had about 1/3 less oleander than OPC Plus in the past (the new formulation for SOPC has the same amount of oleander). As Luella noted, when there are side effects most often they include loose stools and perhaps even diarrhea. Sometimes mild fever, headaches and pain at the tumor site are reported. In many instances there are no side effects and in others they are few and very mild. When they do occur, they generally pass within a fairly short time as the body becomes accustomed. I have never had any side effects other than slight loose stools at larger doses and perhaps a bit of an increased heart rate at higher doses. Well, I did have a noticeable headache when I made a big batch of homemade oleander soup and failed to ventilate the room as well as I should have.
Thanks for the kind words, my friend.
Tony
