side effects from Isocort and Hydrocortisone

I have Hashimotos and I seem to be getting more fatigued. If I try to take my naturethroid up I get sharp needle like pains all over. My doc tried me on Isocort because I am so exhausted. I felt fantastic from one pellet. I felt very calm, clear and the depression lifted. Not anything excessive. However I developed some hives on my back and a very sore throat. I did take another pellet because I wanted to feel good again and the sharp needle like pains increased. No-one seems to know what this is. So then my doc tried hydrocortisone because we thought I might be allergic to something in Isocort? I only took 1/4 of 5mg of hydrocortisone and I felt like I had taken a sleeping pill. I felt drowsy and so tired. I took another 1/2 later, same thing, even worse. Hydrocortisone makes me so tired! The exact opposite of what I need. I want to try Isocort again but Im worried about the side effects.

What is your opinion on Isocort and hydrocortisone and do you think I was having an allergic reaction? I did look up the side effects of Isocort and they do say hives, sore throat etc from the echinachia and other herbs in the mixture.
