Yes, that is true but you need to be hospitalized to get them IV. Amp B is very agressive to the liver but the new versions are improved.(Ambisome) Echinocandins are good but also IV. Cancidas, Ecalta, and Micamine act in a different step of the candida's cellular wall than triazoles. They are less agresive against human cells because of this. Caspofungin is the safest of all of them so far in spite it was the first echinocandin. Anyway, Who can get these therapies??? Anidulafungin is the only one beside of Voriconazole which has an oral formulation until I know.
