Re: Need help with test results! Thank you!
My father has been feeling quite ill for the past year or so. His main symptoms are lethargy, irritability, fatigue, gastro-issues, weight loss, forgetfulness, brain fog and chronic ear infections. He's 50 and just had his gallbladder removed about 8 months ago. Doctor said it was full of bile. He has had diabetes for a bit over a year but eats very healthy and watches his
Sugar levels.
Looks like the liver is struggling quite a bit. So I would be looking at some methods of clearing out the liver using natural products (pm me if you want specifics). Opening up the liver is pretty important to obtaining better health and can be burdened with quite a few things.
I don't think that the high TSH is an issue, and the lipid panels are not a factor, glucose seems to be within limits.
Did some of the problems start with the gastrointestinal issues? Some of the symptoms you are describing are definitely pointing to a pathogen of some sort. The first place that you should look is in the GI tract (read Dr. Leo Galland's material on the web).
parasites are a lot more common than american doctors think and they are quite difficult to diagnose and there are several reasons for this. The testing should be done by Metametrix Labs, it is the GI Effects test. The reason this lab is superior is due to the testing method known as PCR. This is the first place I would look and test.
Secondary issues could be the presence of toxins such as heavy metals. This will depress the immune responses and cause problems particularly in the Gluthione production which is vital for detoxification and immune system. See Readisorb for the best form of Glutathione as it is delivered in the Liposomal form which hands down is the best.
I would also test thru traceelements.com and have his mineral levels checked, it is an inexpensive test and one of the best tests in my arsenal. Magnesium is vital for good health and is generally chronically low in american diets. It supports multiple functions including control of blood sugar, immunity, nervous system, cardio etc.
His Vitamin D levels appear to be depressed. I would suggest you see the Vitamin D council website for the latest research of this important nutrient. It is being shown that it is vital for the immune support.
I would also use nutrient dense foods/supplements as much as I could.
