Help with 1.5yr olds ear infection

Hello folks,

I have a 1.5 year old 30lb boy who has been having trouble with ear infections in both ears. It has been confirmed by a doctor, he has actually just finished a course of Augmentin for 12 days. Helped, but I still believe it has not completely gone away as he is still waking up in the middle of the nights screaming and pulling on his ears. We have gone through this routine of infections then Antibiotics then returning infections several times now.

So I would like to try CS on it. So here are my questions:

1. What technique do I use?
1a. External with drops in ear only?
1b. Internal also? What dosage?

2. Would Colloidal or Ionic be best? (I have both Mesosilver CS and Soverign Silver "Hydrosol" (Ionic)).

I'm guessing drops of CS in the ears will be required. I have a feeling it will be difficult with a toddler of this age, he wont cooperate with laying on his side for long.
