Can Iodine supplementation be harsh on kidneys?

My father want to start Iodine protocol but he has kidney problems.

I will give to him:

50 mg Lugol's

200 mcg selenium methionine

500 mg vit C

200-400 mg - magnesium

5 gm additional salt


Can this regimen do some problems or kidney failure?
I want to be very attentive to him... I'm afraid for kidneys and excretion of bromide and bromine... Tweet
