Re: Spirit-Question about my child
I must tell you that stoll color is not an exact science.
There are so many factors that can affect stoll color, that sometimes, the same color in 2 different people may have totally different cause (many different explanations).
Some extreme colors have very simple explanation:
green = no bowel bacteria (dysbiosis) (or person was drinking wheat grass juice)
clay color = no bile (billiary obstruction) (or person was consuming large amount of clay or some other clay colored food ...)
black = bleeding in the upper GI tract (or person was consuming large amount of black colored food)
bright red = blood in stool, lower GI tyract[like from hemorrhoids] (or person have eaten red beet or some other food commonly coloring stool bright red .
Most other colors may have more then one explanation, sometimes even thousands of possible explanations.
In order to use stoll as diagnostic method, you must consider not only color, but also smell (extremely important), consistency (extremely important), size, length, shape (extremely important), ...
Here are some factors that may affect stoll color:
- genetic
- food eaten (different food gives different color)
- chewing: how long food was chewed
- amount or lack of stomach acid and pancreatic enzymes secreted during digestion
- amount or lack of bile secreted into intestines during digestion, and the color of bile
- health of small intestine
- bowel health
- presence or lack of good bacteria (and also what bacteria was there)
- candidiasis
- presence of intestinal parasites
- presence of liver
parasites (hepatic flukes)
- stres
- physical activity
- time (stoll color will be different if you get feces 12 hours after eating the food, 24 hours after eating the food or 48 hours after )
Considering the possibility of very many combinations (millions), I can not easily make a clear statement, but I can give you a few ideas.
If food eaten is vegetarian, and mainly white in color (rice, white bread, milk, eggs, fruit, bananas, apples, salad .. ), you do not have to expect brown colored stool.
Brown and dark brown color is more common for people eating meat. Stool is lighter if only fish was eaten without meat, and even lighter if it was only vegetarian food like white bread, white rice and milk products.
Reports stating that averege healthy person have brown colored stool are based on healthy person eating meat and potatoes every day.
Also, presence of different bacteria may affect stool color.
It is bowel bacteria (probiotics) that are responsible for converting green colored stool (chime leaving small intestine is green in color, green color comes from bile [even blue green or brown green or yellow green sometimes, yes bile is not always the same color. Liver health can affect bile color and bile consistency]).
Different foods with different bacteria and with different colored bile and with different amount of bile will give different shades of yellow/brown color, incluing light yellow, or dark brown (after eating meat or after eating whole grain wheat products ... ).
My assumptions on your son's health: poor intestinal flora.
My suggestion for your son: fecal flora replacement infusion.
Infusion is like an enema, just the amount of liquid squeezed into rectum is very small. If that liquid contains feces from a very healthy baby, your son will get the best probiotics.
One single infusion of good quality feces dissolved in water can make a huge difference.
Human feces (from a healthy child) is the best source of probiotics!!!!
No other product can be comapared! People are throwing shit, which has all the bacteria needed to cure many bowel problems, and are in the same time wasting huge amount of money on probiotics that are million times less effective then human feces!
My son, when he was born, was having green stool for weeks. That was a sure sign of total lack of good bowel bacteria (green = dysbiosis).
He also suffered a lot from colics.
We used a small dropper, lubricated with olive oil, filled with probiotics to give him infusion.
Infusion corrected the stool color for days. It turned stool into light yellow ( natural color for stool when the only food consumed is mother milk).
