Re: if anyone managed to recover from this
109287, Hey sorry if it came across that way, I was just trying to make some observations about what people seem to be doing. In this thread when asked "If anyone has managed to recover from this" I said "I have" only to be followed by "No one has recovered from this yet bro......" and "there is no cure for this? I wonder if this was the end of life"??? I've actually been posting across this forum for the last 27 days with this info, only to get people say things like my condition if different than yours, that won’t work, etc, etc. So, I hope you can understand where I am coming from with my observations.
I believe that the cause of EC is same for 99% of people. I am 99.9% sure that this is the case after viewing the pictures in the peeling lip section. The cause is dehydration of the lip skin cells. The peeling section of EC sufferers is a semi-mucous membrane which needs outside water to survive. In other words in needs saliva to survive. We were born this way. The part of the lips that doesn’t peel (except for flaking) is what most people were born with on there whole lips, right into the inner mouth, these people will never have EC and never have to wet their lips.
The cure is whenever your lips feel dry, wet them with saliva and apply a lip balm, one that can be removed easily so you can re-wet your lips when they feel dry again. That’s it. You will heal as I have. As the skin heals, as mine has, the need for lip balm will lessen but wetting your lips with saliva will always be required when they feel dry. I believe this will cure 99% of people with EC. I am one of them. In this case, logic dictates the cure. Water is needed to prevent dehydration damage and lip balm is needed to seal the water in. I am 100% certain that any treatment where the lips are not kept 100% hydrated at all times will result in failure. This is the short version. I have a longer detailed version I can post.
I do believe in life destinies tho, so I understand that many will not see this as a cure or be guided to this information.
