Agreed. It's not worth the risk. Since this experience I am very wary of all hormonal contreception. I am using condoms, which isn't that fun, but I have heard good things about diaphragms paired with spermicide and/or awareness of when you're most fertile. Beware however if you get frequent bladder infections and UTI's (like me ugh.) diaphragms are probably not the best option. If you do go the hormonal route, it's probably a good idea to let your body get back to normal first anyway, which can take up to 18 months post-Depo. This sucks but is better than a lifetime of health issues caused by birth control.
