Re: withdraw method of birth control

Withdrawal
The man withdraws his penis from the woman when he feels he is going to ejaculate. He then ejaculates outside her body. It is not an effective way
to prevent pregnancy as some sperm can leak out of the penis before ejaculation. It has a relatively high failure rate and requires great control and
much practice
73% effective

This is a quote from a bpas contraception guide.

I would not recommend trying this when there are so many other more effective methods! It may work for some people but they may just be lucky or even have low feritility (even if they dont know it yet?) Men don't just ejaculate at the end, they can also leak without knowing it. It is less likely to impregnate but its not worth the risk.

Check out what other forms of contraception are available. And don't just risk it because you wouldn;t mind getting pregnant. He may not want a child at all and may just not like using condoms! In this case there are other forms of contraception that could work for you - for example the implant? It goes in your arm and releases hormones. No need for condoms, and it lasts for 3 years. It can also be removed at any time if you do decide that you want a baby.

Hope this helped
