If we continue to have high emissions of CO2 while reflecting sunlight by artificial means, then it just delays the warming effect of the CO2. When it does hit, it will be much more sudden and therefore catastrophic.
Even without spraying aluminum this effect is going on right now - called "global dimming". The particles and so on that reflect sunlight have been keeping the warming effect of CO2 to the levels we are at now {about 2oC above pre-industrial temperatures}.
When the particulate and aerosol pollution slows down the temperatures will quickly go up by another 2oC, or more.
