Hv, it is not just a high hip. I do actually have one tibia shorter than the other, so my legs are not the same length. That is why i wear a raised insole.
As i said, the tilt gives me a discrepancy even with the insole, and is very marked without it.
I don't need anyone to get on knees, i can see it myself in the mirror, and it is the right hip that is high, and can rotate/tilt pulling the hip up further.
So is this massage something i can do myself? I just did what you suggested and found a sore/tender spot.
The muscle that is contracting and pulling the hip up is in the inside of the hip bone. It basically runs from the back through the inside of the hip bone towards the groin. To release this muscle I usually start from the front inside of the hip bone and work slowly back towards the spine on still remaining on the inside of the bone. As you work your towards the spine you will feel the muscle getting tighter and tighter. The primary contraction will be towards the back of the hipbone, and this will probably be quite tender. If you can release that muscle the hip will drop back down even with the other hip bone.
