Well that was alittle vague... contaminated with what? Was the oil rancid, or was there something in it that shouldn't have been? Most companies add other oil other than olive to their olive oil. They are allowed to do this by law, and still call it virgin olive oil. I'm curious, so if you have additional information can you post it?

Most olive oil companies use automated machines to pick the olives, which include the twigs/leaves. I know of one brand that uses hands and people to pick the olives - actually they shake the tree and harvest the oil in nets. They don't include other oils. It is family owned. This is as pure as it gets, in my mind.
