YES. I am 9 months post, and since January (6 months post) have been experiencing urogenital/vaginal problems that I never had before. When Mirena was in I definitely noticed an increase in UTIs and yeast infections. However, once it was removed these faded, and didn't reoccur even with sexual activity. But since January I have been battling with a UTI that will not be tamed. My doctor is treating me with another round of Antibiotics , but since a lot of my cultures turn up negative, thinks I may have developed interstital cystitis. I also noticed an odor that may have been the onset of BV -- which I have never had before, but heard enough about "fishiness" to recognize it -- but this seems to be under control with garlic suppositories when I feel I need them and Fem Dophilus probiotics 2x a day.

I started bioidentical progesterone cream to deal with crashes at the advice of my naturopath in September, and quit in January because of the awful side effects. I can't help think that the Progesterone had something to do with my current situation. Progesterone is well known as an immunosuppressive agent and I feel like it changed the flora in my system to let bacteria get the upper hand. I'm hoping it gets out of my system soon.

This is so frustrating because I am in a terrific relationship, and feel like a failure (tho he never makes me feel like one) for not being able to have sex like we used to. Arrghh! I wish I never did this to my body.
