Being sucked into hell is my mom a narcisist?

I don't know if my mom has NPD or not, but I still feel very angry and have PTSD from her treatment of me. Growing up she would say demeaning things and was always very critical almost a sadistic thing about making you feel shame. If I gained a bit of weight she'd point it out, but if I lost the weight than she would imply that I"m anorexic. She always made me feel like there was something wrong with me. She's also too 'close'. It almost feels like an emotional molesting. Everyone in our family is miserable around each other and around my mom, but we're all drawn into the same routine of stopping over there and spending our time there. All of us kids are still looking for the basic love that we need so we keep hopping over to our parent's house on a daily basis for dinners etc. My mom is also a know it all. She will put you down if you pronounce something wrong or say something the wrong way. She always has a harsh tone. When I was a kid she would become physically violent if she got angry. She also has never apologized for anything and thinks that she did nothing wrong. I remember she used to mock me when I was a kid when I would stutter. I live in the same town but I am so desperate to move away I'm considering the peace corps. She hasn't been diagnosed as NPD or anything else because she thinks it's shameful to see a counselor. Also, she speaks highly of everyone except us. In her eyes I'm not even capable of existing on my own but everyone else she is so kind to. Also, she is EASILY offended, she LIKES to take offense actually. Tweet
