Eat smaller meals. Maintain your stomach acidity to reduce fermentation. Taking yucca root or coconut oil with meals will also reduce fermentation due to their surfactant activity.
If you need something to soothe the esophagus from the burning you can make a tea by boiling slippery elm and licorice root for 15 minutes to make a tea. Then sip on the tea throughout the day to coat the esophagus and reduce any inflammation.
