Re: Trouble with Chinese Herbal Stores
Let me suggest this.....Try asking them what you need for what ever you think your problem is...or, tell them the symptoms and let them do the deciding ! They are doctors of herbs and know their business well.
I have a truly wonderful Chinese Herbalist who also does accupuncture. I first went there right after I found out I had gall stones. I had already found Curezone and started liver flushes. I was interested in Gold Coin Grass. My wonderful Chinese Lady, who, by the way did come over here from China on the boat (insert giggle here)...... and she had no idea what so ever what I was talking about. However, when I told her that I had gall stones she had a great remedy which I purchased from her for five bucks ! I did pass some two or three HUGE gall stones while I was taking her remedy. I finished the course of her medicine and then did
Liver Flushing after that. I have gone to her for two and a half years, on and off. I took lots of accupuncture treatments from her for the unheard of low price of $25. each. (That was not for gall stones.) She is wonderful and I call her "My Doctor". She learned chinese herbs from her father and he learned from his father. At first she did not really want to sell me any thing.......she actually told me that she "did not know me." I said well, I am not going to any western medical doctors any more because they want to butcher me. She said ok and went to the back room where some of her supplies are at and brought me out some thing and I have been going there every since. I truly trust her and would take any thing she prescribes for me. Some times I can get on the internet and figure out what the stuff is. More often, she gives it to me in little zip lock baggies and I have no idea what could be in there but I take it any how and it always works. She has treated me for a cold and it was gone in two hours. She helped save me from having gall bladder surgery.
Liver Flushes helped also of course. I used to have horrible back pain, to the point that I would lay in bed to get relief. I can hobble into her shop, get on her acupuncture table and she can take the pain away in less than an hour. I cannot say enough good things about her.
One thing I have noticed about some people is that they, how do I say this nicely ?......they may present am image of "looking down" towards the Chinese in the shops. I have seen people that are obviously doing this and they get the cold shoulder for sure !And if they are not smart enough to just leave they pay big prices, ha ha ! We have a big Chinatown here and I go there quite often. I am trying to say to not act like you are above them. I am not saying that you do this, I am just trying to think of why they would act like they have acted towards you. The only thing I can think of is that like my Chinese lady they just do not "know you"......yet !
Good Luck and I hope you go back and try it again.
